New Year, New Hotel Manager at 51!

51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences is delighted to announce the internal promotion of Araceli Rius Perez to Hotel Manager, effective January 2011.

Araceli has been with Taj Hotels for over 16 years, having first worked for the adjacent Crowne Plaza before joining 51 Buckingham Gate as a receptionist in 2001, the year of the hotel’s opening. Most recently, Araceli has been responsible for heading-up the sales team at 51 Buckingham Gate, servicing the hotel’s domestic and international clientele. The move into a senior managerial role marks a point of personal achievement and growth for Araceli within the company, as the first ever female to assume the position.

“Having worked with 51 Buckingham Gate since its inception, I am delighted to be taking on this exciting new challenge, says Araceli.” The wonderful thing about the industry is the ability for one to gravitate towards various roles within it – with passion and willingness, anything is possible. As part of her new role, Araceli will oversee the various operational divisions within the hotel, as well as being the first point of contact for 51 Buckingham Gate’s exclusive clientele, ensuring the high levels of guest satisfaction and Taj luxury standards are maintained. Araceli will also manage the hotel’s additional refurbishment plans pipelined for the next few years, including extensive suite renovations and the installation of a new elevator.

51 Buckingham Gate is celebrating its landmark 10th Anniversary in 2011, with further details on events planned throughout the year to be announced shortly.
